Stock market opens at 66,796 points after yesterday’s fluctuations

WEB DESK: First trading day of the week and the first of the month saw the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) fluctuating through the day. On Tuesday (today), the index opens at 66,796 points – 791 points above yesterday’s opening at 67,005.11 points.

PSX closing: KSE-100 sees correction after record highs

Friday saw the index on a record high, however, by closing time, the index had declined slightly by 137.02 points. The trend continued on Monday when earlier in the day the benchmark KSE-100 index posted notable gains, but by the afternoon started course correction.

During the previous week, the KSE-100 soared to a record peak of 67,142.12, attributed to advancements in the privatisation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and progress on a new IMF bailout programme.
