SNGPL launches emergency response teams for gas-related issues during Ramazan

LAHORE: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) announced the establishment of emergency response teams to address any gas-related concerns throughout Ramazan on Tuesday.

In an announcement, the gas company’s spokesperson stated that SNGPL assembled Emergency Response Teams to aid the public with any gas-related matters that may arise.

The spokesperson also stated that in case customers encounter any gas supply or pressure problems, they are encouraged to report these issues by reaching out to the company’s helpline on 1199. “If consumers encounter problems with gas supply or pressure, they can lodge complaints by calling helpline 1199”, the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson pointed out that gas consumption increases significantly during sehri and iftar time. To address this, gas pressure has been increased to ensure a consistent supply to consumers.

Moreover, the spokesperson said that the industry and power sectors will have uninterrupted gas supply, as well.

To ensure efficient monitoring of gas pressure, control rooms have been established both at the head office and across all regions by the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines.

Previously, on March 9, the company announced measures to ensure uninterrupted gas supply during sehri and iftari times in Lahore. The announcement stated uninterrupted gas supply from 2:30 am to 8:00 am for sehri and from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm for iftar.

Meanwhile, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced gas load-shedding for consumers during the holy month of Ramazan. As per the statement from the southern gas company, gas will only be accessible from 3:00 am to 9:00 am in morning and later from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Gas availability will also be limited to only thirteen hours for the public in Sindh and Balochistan.
