QUETTA: Adeela Baloch, a suicide bomber arrested in Balochistan, has shared details about her involvement with terrorist groups, revealing how they manipulate and exploit vulnerable individuals.
In a statement, Adeela explained that she initially pursued a career in saving lives, having received her primary education in Turbat and completed a nursing course in Quetta. However, she was lured into the world of terrorism and persuaded to carry out a suicide attack.
“Terrorists in Balochistan use women for suicide attacks, often blackmailing them into participating. I was saved from this sin by the timely intervention of the Balochistan government,” Adeela stated. She expressed gratitude for being rescued from the malicious intentions of those who had brainwashed her.
Reflecting on her experience, she warned the public to remain cautious and avoid being influenced by these groups, admitting that she had been so deeply manipulated that she was prepared to take her own life in a suicide mission.
Adeela’s mother, speaking on the family’s ordeal, shared how terrorists exploit the vulnerabilities of women, using them for their own purposes. “Allah knows the difficulties we endured when our daughter disappeared. We spent every day in anguish until she was found.”
Her father, a bank employee based in Karachi, described how their once-happy life was shattered when their daughter was taken by extremists. “I worked hard to provide for my family and educate my children. My daughter was capable and bright. We had a good life, and it was destroyed when they took her,” he said. He praised the Balochistan government for acting swiftly and recovering his daughter before it was too late.
Responding to these revelations, Balochistan Government Spokesperson Farah Azeem Shah said, “The state fulfilled its duty as a mother”.
She said that children are being brainwashed towards terrorism, and urged that this fight in which Balochistan is losing must be stopped.
“Let’s talk about the state instead of war,” she saidm adding, “People sitting on mountains are playing dangerous games. The state will not tolerate this game”.
“No compromise will be made on the interests of the state,” Shah said.
