Sunday weather predictions: heat, humidity and thunderstorms

WEB DESK: On Sunday, hot and humid weather is expected to prevail across much of the plains in the country. However, strong winds and thundershowers are forecast at isolated locations in several regions, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.

Going region by region, Islamabad and surrounding areas will remain hot and humid, with partly cloudy skies during the morning and night hours. There is a moderate chance of rain, along with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places.

In Punjab, the weather will be hot and humid, though thunderstorms with strong winds are expected in the evening and night. Areas including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Khushab, Gujrat, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, and surrounding regions may experience these conditions.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also see hot and humid weather, with rain, strong winds, and thundershowers expected in Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Malakand, Kohat, and nearby areas.

In Sindh, hot and humid weather is likely in most districts. However, coastal areas including Karachi are expected to remain partly cloudy, with rain in some areas as well.

Balochistan will experience hot and humid weather too, said PMD.

Up north, however, Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to be cloudy, with strong winds and thundershowers in isolated locations. Kashmir is also likely to see cloudy weather, with the possibility of strong winds and thundershowers at a few places.
