Sunday weather: sun’s out, but keep that umbrella handy

WEB DESK: Sunday’s weather is set to be a mix of hot and dry conditions across most parts of the country, but a few areas should brace for some rain and thundershowers.
Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Southeast Punjab, and Southeast Sindh could see some relief from the heat as gusty winds and thunderstorms are likely in certain spots.

Going region by region, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that Islamabad and surrounding areas will experience partly cloudy skies, but will likely remain dry throughout the day.
In Punjab, most districts will see hot and dry conditions, especially in the southern regions. However, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and nearby areas might get a splash of rain with thunder.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will mostly stay dry, but areas like Dir, Chitral, Kurram, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan could face rain along with strong winds and thundershowers.
Similarly, Sindh will remain hot and humid, but Tharparkar, Umarkot, and Sanghar might get a break from the heat with some showers.

Balochistan can expect hot and dry weather, though Lasbela, Khuzdar, and nearby regions may get some rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder.
In Kashmir, a few areas will likely see rain with gusty winds. However, in Gilgit-Baltistan, the skies will be partly cloudy but no rain is on the horizon.
