Sunday weather update: hot and humid; thunderstorms in the north

WEB DESK: On Sunday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, wind, thunderstorm, and thundershowers are expected at a few places in North East Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas.

In Islamabad, the weather is expected to be hot and humid, though there may be rain at a few places in the morning hours. In Punjab, the weather will likely remain hot and humid in most districts, with a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Murree, Guliat, Gujranwala, Narowal, and Sialkot. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also experience hot and humid conditions in most districts, but rain and thunderstorms are possible in Balakot, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Swat.

Sindh is set to see hot and humid weather across its districts. In Balochistan, similar conditions will prevail, although there is a chance of rain with thunder and wind in Khuzdar, Awaran, and Lasbela. Kashmir is expected to be partly cloudy, with possibilities of rain, strong winds, and thundershowers. In Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is predicted to remain dry and partly cloudy.
