Tariq Malik resigns as NADRA chairman

Islamabad: Tariq Malik, the Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), has stepped down from his post according to sources.

Malik has been under investigation by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for alleged involvement in a corruption scandal.

Earlier Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah denied Malik was under pressure from government to resign but the news of his resignation have been doing the rounds after his meeting with the Prime Minister today.
