Two motorcyclists die after falling from newly constructed flyover in Faisalabad

Faisalabad Flyover accident

FAISALABAD: The newly constructed Tariqabad flyover in Faisalabad has turned into a death trap for citizens, with its sharp turn becoming increasingly hazardous.

Two young motorcyclists tragically lost their lives after their bikes went out of control and plunged off the bridge.

According to reports, the victims, identified as Muhammad Nawaz and Shehbaz, were critically injured when their motorcycles skidded off the flyover while negotiating the steep turn.

Rescue 1122 rushed the severely injured men to the hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

This is the third incident of its kind due to the low height of the flyover’s protective barriers. Just a few days ago, a 16-year-old boy from Bhaiwala also died after falling from the same bridge.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the motorcycles were speeding, causing the riders to lose control while making the turn. Both young men collided with the pavement before falling off the edge of the flyover.

Authorities have yet to take action to address the safety concerns of the flyover, as the growing number of accidents raises alarm among local residents.
