Terrorist plan foiled in Quetta, huge cache of weapons recovered

QUETTA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan has recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition during an operation in Sariab area of Quetta.
According to the CTD officials, the recovered weapons include IEDs, automatic weapons, hand grenades and various types of ammunition.

Officials said that the operation was carried out on a tip-off, the intelligence lead indicated suspicious activity and storage of arms and ammunition, on which immediate action was taken and the terror plan was foiled.
The CTD says that according to initial investigations, the terrorists were planning a major attack in the next 24 to 72 hours. No arrests were made during the operation, but raids are being conducted to arrest the terrorists.
BALOCHISTAN CM VOWS TO END TERRORISM
Yesterday, Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Sarfaraz Bugti said that he promises to end terrorism from the province. CM Bugti said that the province is facing many problems today, and that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is determined to solve the problems of Balochistan.

He said that terrorism will be eradicated from the country soon, adding that the nefarious intentions of the enemy elements will be thwarted. He said that solution to the problems of the people of Balochistan province is a priority.
