Three killed, three injured in Lakki Marwat shooting

LAKKI MARWAT: Three people, including a woman and a young girl, were killed and three others injured in a shooting incident in Zafarabad, Lakki Marwat, police said on Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sarai Naurang police station over a domestic dispute. The suspect, identified as Khalil Bettani, allegedly entered the house with two accomplices and opened fire, killing his brother-in-law Noman, Noman’s mother-in-law, and Noman’s five-year-old daughter.

Police sources said that Noman’s two-year-old and three-year-old daughters, along with the suspect’s wife, sustained serious injuries.

The injured and the bodies were taken to Sarai Naurang Hospital. Due to the severity of their injuries, the three injured were later referred to Bannu Hospital.

A case has been registered against the suspect and his two accomplices, and an investigation is under way, police sources said.
