Three men, one child die in different accidents

TAXILA: Two men and two children drowned while bathing in a canal in Wapda Town near Taxila.

The bodies of both men and the child were retrieved by the locals. The deceased are said to belong to Katchi Abadi in Rawalpindi, and were residents of Bajaur.

Taxila police reached the spot, took the bodies into custody and shifted them to the hospital. The bodies were later handed over to the heirs for burial after identification. The police have also started further investigation.

YOUTH JUMPS TO DEATH

Meanwhile, a youth ended his life by jumping from the Ghazi Barotha Canal bridge, in Attock district. According to eyewitnesses, a youth came on a motorcycle, parked the motorcycle on the bridge and jumped into the canal.

The youth has been identified as Muhammad Tauseef son of Muhammad Hanif, a resident of Kotke Ghazi. Rescue teams are busy searching for the body. According to initial information, the youth was upset after being scolded by his family.
