TikTok contest announced for Independence Day celebrations

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced a TikTok contest as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The contest, which runs from August 8 to August 12, 2024, invites participants to create TikTok videos based on specific themes related to Pakistan’s independence and national pride.

Themes include:

1. Personal expression of what freedom means to the participant.

2. Stories of unsung heroes of Pakistan’s independence movement.

3. Showcasing Pakistan’s cultural heritage and diversity.

4. Highlighting Pakistan’s natural beauty and landmarks.

5. Celebrating the achievements of Pakistan in various fields.

Participation Criteria and Conditions:

Participants must create a TikTok video (reel) of 30 to 60 seconds and upload it to TikTok with the hashtag #DEMP_MOIB. They must also follow the @DEMP_MOIB TikTok account and include a description of the video content in the post. Additionally, participants are required to fill out an entry form at the provided link (https://forms.gle/X7KPWF4ARNz5b7nt7). The deadline for submissions is August 8, 2024, by 12 PM.

Prizes:

The first prize for the competition is Rs 100,000, second is Rs 75,000 and third prize is Rs 50,000.

The Ministry has encouraged all creative individuals to participate and showcase their love for the country through their unique and inspiring videos.
