Top cop’s brother killed in Tank

TANK: An influential elder of the Mehsud tribe, local political leader and brother of on-duty senior police officer Salahuddin Mehsud’s brother, Habib Mehsud was shot dead shortly following his kidnapping.

According to KP police, Malik Habib Mehsud was kidnapped in district Tank of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa after unknown assailants opened fire on his car, injuring his guard and driver.

Shortly after the incident, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa police found his bullet-riddled body. 

“He succumbed to injuries while he was being taken to Dera Ismail Khan for treatment,” according to Police.
