Turkish President visit: Traffic advisory issued for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Due to VIP movement related to the Turkish President’s arrival in Pakistan, the Islamabad Traffic Police have issued an advisory for the convenience of the citizens.
According to the advisory, both sides of the road around Serena Hotel will be completely closed to traffic.
All entry and exit points to the Red Zone will be completely open; however, traffic from Radio Pakistan heading towards Srinagar Highway should use the Convention Centre and Kashmir Chowk, according to the advisory.
Citizens travelling from Aabpara to Bhara Kahu should use the Srinagar Highway, while those travelling from Club Road to Red Zone should use the SrinagarSwearing-in ceremony of new SC judges postponed Highway and Seventh Avenue, says the Traffic Police.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday night for a two-day visit, receiving a red carpet welcome from Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During his visit, President Erdogan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will co-chair the 7th session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
He will also join Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in addressing the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, where top investors, business leaders, and companies from both countries will participate.
