LAHORE: Introducing a unique way to deal with traffic violations, City Traffic Officer (CTO) Dr. Ather Waheed has directed that traffic violators be made to clean up the Mall Road as punishment.

He directed authorities to file FIRs against owners of heavy vehicles violating traffic laws instead of issuing challans.

He further warned that in the future, violators would be made to clean Mall Road as punishment rather than being fined.

If they refused, they would be assigned to clean Liberty Market instead.
