Training made mandatory to obtain arms licence

ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday made training mandatory for both the issuance and renewal of arms licenses.

As per the new guidelines, individuals seeking an arms license must undergo a comprehensive two-day training session before being eligible to obtain it from either the federal district administration or the Ministry of Interior.

The training, conducted at the Islamabad police shooting range, is designed to equip aspirants with essential knowledge and skills. The successful completion of this training will be a prerequisite for the issuance or renewal of arms licenses.

Additionally, a separate fee will be levied on candidates for the training,
