Turkmenistan Ambassador visits HUM Network HQ, explores media collaboration

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, His Excellency Mr Atajan Movlamov, visited the Islamabad offices of HUM Television Network on Friday as part of efforts to strengthen cultural and media ties between the two nations.

Ambassador Movlamov was accompanied by First Secretary Mr Beyram and Third Secretary Mr Eldor. The delegation was warmly received by HUM Network’s management team, who provided a comprehensive briefing on the network’s operations and its pivotal role in Pakistan’s media landscape.
During the visit, the Ambassador highlighted Turkmenistan’s media and cultural diplomacy efforts and expressed keen interest in exploring collaborative ventures in broadcasting, content sharing, and cultural programming. He also spoke about Turkmenistan’s approach to utilising its energy resources and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in the field of information exchange.
Ambassador Movlamov took the opportunity to share the enduring legacy of Magtymguly Pyragy, the revered Turkmen poet and philosopher, and his historical connections to the South Asian region, underscoring the shared cultural heritage between the two countries.
