Two injured in Quetta’s Moti Ram Road blast

QUETTA: A blast on a busy street in the southwestern city of Quetta on Thursday wounded two people, police and rescue officials said.

The explosion occurred in a shop in “Phool Gali” on Moti Ram Road, a commercial area with shops and restaurants, and damaged several vehicles and buildings nearby.

Six injured in second Quetta blast on same day

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which comes amid a surge of violence in Balochistan.

Law enforcers said that they were ascertaining the nature of the blast. This is the third blast in the provincial capital in the last two days.

Balochistan is home to separatist insurgents as well as religious militants and sectarian groups.
