Two injured suspects arrested in late night police encounter

KARACHI: Two robbers have been arrested with injuries following a police encounter in Korangi area of Karachi.

According to police, the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) received information about the two armed suspects who were involved in a robbery in the locality. Promptly responding to the situation, the police attempted to apprehend the suspects, but they opened fire upon encountering law enforcement.

During the exchange of gunfire, both suspects sustained injuries. Subsequently, the police arrested the two individuals, who were identified as Muhammad Khalid and Muhammad Yaqoob.

Furthermore, the police has sized two firearms from their possession.

Meanwhile, authorities disclosed that the arrested suspects have a criminal history, with previous cases filed against them at various police stations.

“The arrested suspects are linked to a range of criminal activities, including murder, attempted murder, street crimes, robbery, and drug trafficking,” the authorities said.
