Two people killed outside district courts in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Two people have been killed in a firing incident outside the district courts in G-11 sector of Islamabad on Thursday.

According to the police, unidentified assailants fired shots at two men who were outside the district courts. As a result of firing one of the men died instantly while another was injured but he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Senior police officers rushed to the scene immediately after the incident. According to initial investigations, the incident seems to be related to old enmity.

Islamabad finally gets some respite; clouds cover capital’s sky

Inspector General (IG) Islamabad took notice of the incident and ordered the immediate arrest of the shooter.

Police teams have cordoned off the area and are collecting evidence from the crime scene.

Authorities assured that the suspect will be arrested soon and brought to justice.
