Two separate fire incidents in Islamabad raises concern

ISLAMABAD:  Two separate fire incidents in the federal capital of Islamabad on Monday caused concern among residents, though timely action by authorities averted major damage.

The first incident took place in a house in the posh sector of Islamabad, F-7/2 leaving one person injured.

The fire, caused by a short circuit, destroyed household items before rescue teams extinguished it. The injured resident was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment.

The second incident in Blue Area Islamabad, a fire broke out at Jamil Sweets due to an electrical short circuit.

Fire brigade teams, along with IESCO officials and local police, arrived promptly to control the blaze. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and the fire was successfully contained.

Authorities have initiated investigations into both incidents to assess the exact causes and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
