Two siblings killed, 11 injured in four gas leakage explosions

RAWALPINDI: Two siblings lost their lives and 11 individuals, including three women, were injured in consecutive gas leakage explosions in different areas of Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
Several explosions occurred in different areas of Rawalpindi within a few hours due to gas leakage, resulting in casualties.
In Babara Bazaar, a gas leakage explosion in a house claimed the lives of an eight-month-old infant, Arham, and a three-and-a-half-year-old girl, Ayesha, while their mother sustained injuries.
The second incident took place in Arya Mohallah, where five individuals, including two women, were injured in a gas leakage explosion.
The third incident occurred in Tench Bhatta, where two underage children were injured.
The fourth incident took place Qureshi Abad on Girja Road, where three individuals, including two children and one woman, were injured in an explosion.
According to rescue authorities, all four explosions occurred due to gas leakage. They urged the public to exercise caution, especially during load shedding hours, as negligence and unawareness among citizens were contributing to such incidents.
The citizens have held the authorities concerned responsible for the explosions and the resulting loss of life and property.
