UAE pledges $10 billion investment in Pakistan


DUBAI: On Thursday, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) pledged a $10 billion investment in Pakistan.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, where the Prime Minister is on a one-day visit.

During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati, Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Sharif explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation across various priority sectors, particularly focusing on the economy, trade, and development. This collaboration aims to serve mutual interests and advance both nations’ visions of sustainable economic growth and prosperity.

Prime Minister Sharif emphasised Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing its relationship with the UAE and expanding partnerships in the areas of economy, trade, and investment. He also highlighted the potential for Pakistan to benefit from the UAE’s impressive development trajectory.
