Unidentified persons attack GPA complex in Gwadar

GWADAR: Explosions and heavy gunfire have been reported near the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Complex.

Makran Commissioner Saeed Ahmed Umrani while talking to Dawn has confirmed the attack.

Law enforcement agencies have arrived at the scene to restore control of the situation.

According to sources, eight terrorists attacked a complex belonging to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

In a successful operation by security forces, all 8 terrorists were attacked.

Located in the heart of the city, the GPA Complex houses various offices associated with the Gwadar Port Authority, law enforcement agencies, and staff accommodations.

The GPA Complex is dedicated to the development of commercial structures such as bank branches, stevedores, agency offices, cargo storage sheds, and marine repair workshops. Covering an expansive 69 acres of land, these facilities are aimed at facilitating investors and generating revenue.
