Upper, lower houses of Parliament to meet today

ISLAMABAD: Both the upper house and the lower house of the Parliament are scheduled to host a session today. The Senate is convened today at 4:30 PM and the National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 5 PM.

The Senate has released a five-point agenda. Today’s session will also see the attendance of a special guest Russian Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko. She will also hold an address in today’s Senate session.

Likewise, the National Assembly Secretariat has issued a six-point agenda for the session. A time slot has also been allocated to questions for today’s session, in which includes responses will be given to queries related to previous proceedings of the assembly.

According to the sources, the attention notice regarding the payment of fees for the children of federal government employees under the benevolent fund is also included in the agenda. Federal Minister for Law Azam Nazir Tarar will move a motion of thanks on the President’s address.

Strict security arrangements have been made for today’s sessions.
