VIP movement: Traffic alert issued for Srinagar Highway

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic police has issued a traffic alert for the Srinagar Highway due to VIP movements at various times.

Security has been tightened on Islamabad’s Srinagar Highway in connection with the arrival of a foreign dignitary.

 According to Islamabad Traffic Police, special traffic routes will be in place at different times, which may disrupt the flow of traffic.

Police officials said the security route will be enforced between 1 PM to 3 PM during the day and again at night.

Citizens are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience, according to the traffic alert issued for Srinagar Highway.

The Traffic Police has advised the citizens to use the service roads linked to Srinagar Highway. In order to reach Blue Area, Sector F-6, and F-7, use the H-8 underpass. For Sectors I-8 and H-8, use Rawalpindi-Peshawar Road and from IJP Road, shift to the service road

According to the CTO, traffic police teams will be deployed at various points to guide commuters.

Citizens are advised to keep a 20-minute buffer in their travel time to avoid any difficulties.

During the scheduled time, motorists can expect delays and slower traffic conditions as security measures are implemented to facilitate the safe movement of foreign guests.
