KARACHI: In a shocking development in the Mustafa Amir murder case, investigative agencies have expanded their probe following startling revelations made by Sahir Hassan, son of renowned actor Sajjad Hassan.
The case, which initially centered around the murder of Mustafa Amir, has now taken a dramatic turn with the uncovering of an international drug-dealing network linked to the victim and his associates.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) are now investigating of an international drug trafficking ring and money laundering.
According to sources, Sahir Hassan, who is currently under interrogation and on remand, has disclosed critical information about his connections with victim Mustafa and prime suspect in his murder, Armaghan.
The interrogators have obtained call records of Sahir revealing his communications with Mustafa and Armaghan.
Sahir revealed to interrogators that he was introduced to Mustafa through Armaghan. The CIA claimed to have recovered drugs, including foreign brands, worth Rs 5 million from Sahir Hasan’s possession.

During questioning, Sahir Hassan admitted that Mustafa Amir and Armaghan used to purchase drugs from him and subsequently sold them to others. He has also reportedly told how the drugs were being transported through the city.
After these revelations, the SUI and FIA have started investigations into a drug network that allegedly utilized Karachi Airport for transportation.
Courier companies were also reportedly involved in the distribution of drugs, delivering narcotics directly to customers’ homes.
The authorities are also investigating the possible role of multiple players, including employees of law enforcement agencies.
Authorities are also preparing to register a separate case against Armaghan for his alleged involvement in money laundering activities.
