Weather Update: Dry conditions to prevail across the country

ISLAMABAD: Mostly dry and cold weather will prevail across most parts of the country including Islamabad during the next 12 hours, according to the weather update provided by the Meteorological Department.

 Most districts of Balochistan are also expected to experience cold and dry conditions.

In Punjab, some smog has been reported in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Mangla, Multan and Jhelum. But otherwise clear sunny skies are expected in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur. Similar conditions prevail in Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Sindh is also experiencing smog, particularly in Kashmore, Sukkur, and Tando Jam.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to see cold and dry weather across most districts. The same forecast applies to Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Temperatures of major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad and Muzaffarabad eight degrees centigrade, Lahore 14, Karachi 23, Peshawar 11, Quetta four, Gilgit two and Murree six degrees centigrade.
