Youm-e-Ali (RA) being observed today with religious fervour

ISLAMABAD: The martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA) (Youm-e-Ali) is being observed today (Saturday) with religious devotion across Pakistan. Mourning processions are being taken out in major cities and towns, while strict security arrangements are in place to prevent any untoward incident.

KARACHI

The main mourning procession in Karachi will start from Nishtar Park at 1:00 pm and will pass through Nursery, M.A. Jinnah Road, and Sea Breeze, reaching Empress Market in Saddar before concluding at Hussainiya Iranian Imambargah.

The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a traffic plan, while strict security measures have been implemented for the processions.

Traffic plan issued for Youm-e-Ali (RA) processions

According to a statement by the Karachi Commissioner, double riding of motorcycles has been banned under Section 144 on Youm-e-Ali. Additionally, all educational institutions in Sindh will remain closed for the day.

LAHORE

In Lahore, the main Youm-e-Ali procession began from Mubarak Haveli in Mochi Gate and will end at Karbala Gamay Shah around Iftar time.

RAWALPINDI

The central procession in Rawalpindi, which started from Mohanpura Mohalla, passed through Fawara Chowk, Iqbal Road, and Bohar Bazaar Chowk, concluding at Imam Bargah Colonel Maqbool.

PESHAWAR

In Peshawar, the main procession commenced from Kocha Bazaar, with tight security measures along the route to ensure safety.
