Zardari discharged from hospital following Covid-19 testing


President Zardari was discharged from hospital late on Friday from a private medical facility in Karachi after testing negative for Covid-19.

KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari was discharged from hospital late on Friday from a private medical facility in Karachi after testing negative for Covid-19.

He was admitted to the medical facility due to health complications, including elevated fever and signs of infection. Initially treated at NAwabshah’s Zardari House, his condition required a transfer to Karachi for specialised care.

Upon arrival, he was placed under observation and treated by a team of infectious disease specialists and general practitioners who monitored his vital signs closely.

During his hospitalisation, Zardari underwent a series of medical tests, including testing positive for Covid-19, leading to isolation as a precautionary measure.

By April 5, Zardari’s personal physician reported significant improvement in the former’s health. Zardari’s fever had subsided, and he was regaining energy. The medical team continued to monitor him closely to prevent any potential complications,

Physiotherapy was also reportedly initiated to address fatigue and muscle weakness resulting from his illness and extended periods of rest.

After more than ten days of hospitalisation, Zardari was discharged from the hospital. His personal physician confirmed that his rapid Covid-19 test had returned negative, allowing for his release.

Following his discharge, Zardari was advised to continue physiotherapy and to take ample rest as he resumed his recovery process.
