ATC declares Gandapur a ‘proclaimed offender’

Bail bonds of Raja Rashid Hafeez, Wasiq Qayyum, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Faisal Javed, and Omar Tanveer were rejected in the verdict
ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad has declared Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur a proclaimed offender. The verdict came with regards to a case registered against the chief minister in I-9 police station in the federal capital.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra issued a written order, declaring Ali Amin Gandapur a proclaimed offender. After the verdict, Gandapur’s case was separated from the cases of others accused under the same complaint.

The verdict also said that non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued for all the co-accused parties, including Raja Rashid Hafeez, Wasiq Qayyum, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Faisal Javed, and Omar Tanveer.
The accused parties that were not present today filed a plea for exemption through their counsels Sardar Masroof, Murtaza Turi, and Zahid Bashir Dar.
Judge Sipra’s verdict rejected these exemption pleas, and also cancelled the bail bonds of the accused.
The court adjourned the hearing until November 28.
