WEB DESK: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday allowed the police to conduct fresh photographic and polygraph tests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan in a terrorism-related case, directing investigators to submit their report by June 9.
The order came after prosecution submitted its response in court regarding the PTI founder’s forensic examination. DSP Legal told the court that the investigation couldn’t be completed without conducting these tests, urging the PTI founder to cooperate with investigators.
“We will fully cooperate to ensure justice is served,” the DSP Legal assured the court. The fresh tests will be conducted at the Punjab Forensic Science Agency.

Legal experts say the court’s decision marks a critical juncture in the high-profile case that has drawn nationwide attention. The PTI legal team maintains their client’s willingness to undergo any lawful procedure to clear his name.
The case has seen multiple twists since its registration last year, with the prosecution arguing that forensic evidence is crucial to establish facts. The court has adjourned proceedings till June 9 when the forensic report will be submitted.
