LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief and other leaders including Mian Aslam Iqbal, Hammad Azhar, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema and Hassan Ullah Niazi on charges of setting a container alight and launching an attack on a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office.
The cases have been lodged against the PTI leaders at the Naseerabad and Model Town police stations in Lahore.
During the proceedings, the investigating officer asserted that the implicated PTI leaders were allegedly involved in both the incidents. He claimed that they were also eluding court appearances.
In response to the plea, the ATC judge issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the PTI chief and the other party officials and adjourned the hearing.
