Balochistan Assembly dissolved

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly was dissolved on Saturday, as Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar signed the summary.

The assembly’s dissolution came following the recommendation of Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Abdul Qudous Bizenjo.

Similar to the National Assembly (NA), the Balochistan Assembly convened its inaugural session on August 13, 2018, subsequent to the July 25 elections. Consequently, its five-year tenure is scheduled to conclude today, August 12.

Earlier NA was dissolved on August 9 by President Arif Alvi, on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, three days before its term completion.
