ISLAMABAD: A recently uncovered handwritten diary allegedly belonging to Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, has sparked controversy, suggesting that Pakistan’s former prime minister may be operating largely under her influence.
The diary allegedly contains detailed directives, indicating that Bushra has been dictating political strategies to the former premier, particularly concerning the exertion of pressure on Pakistan’s judiciary, military, and government.
Notably, she allegedly advises creating an environment in which the court feels compelled to make decisions in their favour.
Specific excerpts from the diary allegedly include instructions such as, “If Governor’s rule is imposed, prepare the legal team and shut down the city,” and “From tomorrow, exert so much pressure that the court cannot give a negative decision.” It further dictates what the lawyers will say in the court like, “Khawaja Haris will say: who are the local facilitators in Azam Swati’s case?”

These revelations, if accurate, could have profound implications for the political landscape in Pakistan.
It further delves into the minute details of PTI chairman’s daily routine, even detailing his dietary habits with instructions such as, “In the morning, as soon as you wake up, drink coffee + honey + juice,” and “In the afternoon, eat only kebabs + meat + fish with vitamins,” suggest a level of control that extends beyond just political manoeuvring.
Intriguingly, the ‘direction’ to consume milk has been specifically timed for midnight only.
It’s worth noting that there may be additional pages from this diary that were hastily torn out, and with a potential to surface in the future.
The allegations, if verified, will raise serious questions over some of the most important decisions of the former PM that left a long-lasting mark on the overall politics of Pakistan – for better or for worse.
As of now, neither Bushra Bibi nor her representatives have commented on the veracity or implications of the diary’s contents.
Hum News English tried to reach out to Bushra Bibi to get her version on the issue but she could not be contacted.
