ECP numbers reveal 4pc increase in voters since February 2024

WEBDESK: According to the numbers released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the estimated number of Pakistani registered voters stands at 133 million.
With the numbers being 128 million in February 2024, 132,254,310 in November 2024 and 132,668, 515 in January 2025, there has been an increase of almost four percent since the last General Elections held on February 8, 2024.
The total number of male voters is 71 million (71,275,222), while female voters are 61 million (61,393,293). In February 2024, these numbers were at 69 million and 59 million respectively.
The provincial wise numbers rounded-off are with Punjab at 76 million, Sindh at 28 million, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at 23 million, Balochistan at five million and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) at one million.
With the fifth-highest number of registered voters globally, in February last year, Pakistan held a record of 128 million people, constituting over half of its total population, registered as voters on the Final Electoral Rolls (FER) for the February 2024 GE.
Despite the increase, the difference between male and female registered voters is yet to be bridged with 14 percent more male voters than female.
