Eight-day physical remand approved for Imran, Bushra Toshakhana case

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court has approved an eight-day physical remand for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the new Toshakhana reference.

The case was heard by an Accountability Court judge at Adiala Jail. The court granted the physical remand based on a plea from Deputy Director of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Mohsin Haroon. Initially, a six-day remand was approved, but upon request from Imran Khan’s lawyer, the court extended it to eight days.

New toshakhana reference: jail trial of Imran, Bushra notified

The court has directed that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi be produced again after the completion of the physical remand period.

This follows the arrest of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi by NAB in connection with the new Toshakhana case. An 11-member team from Lahore Police arrived at Adiala Jail for further investigation. Meanwhile, the legal team for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi has announced plans to challenge the arrest in the High Court.
