PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is being treated unfairly by the Federal government, akin to a stepmother’s treatment, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Barrister Saif.

Barrister Saif, who is also the spokesperson for the provincial government, said that the federal government is not appointing a Chief Secretary for the province, despite repeated assurances.

He also expressed frustration that the promised arrears owed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remain unpaid, even after numerous meetings between the Chief Minister and federal ministers, including the Prime Minister.

“The promises about sharing funds for development work in FATA have turned out to be empty words,” Barrister Saif said.
