IHC grants two days for Imran Khan’s meetings, bars media talk afterwards

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard multiple petitions related to permissions granted to the incarcerated former premier Imran Khan for meetings in Adiala Jail. IHC Acting Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar presided over the hearing.
The IHC has announced its decision, restoring Tuesday and Thursday as approved days for meeting with the founder and former chairman of the opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

However, the decision comes with a ban on media talks following the meetings with Imran Khan. The IHC has barred from the party members or any other individual from speaking to media after meeting with Imran Khan.
Moreover, the IHC has ruled that only Salman Akram Raja is authorised to submit the names of individuals permitted to meet Imran Khan. IHC Acting Chief Justice Dogar has also directed that trial court should be moved for the case pertaining to allow Imran Khan to meet with his children.
With this decision, the IHC has disposed of multiple petitions related to Imran Khan’s meetings in Adiala Jail.
