ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir presided over a hearing concerning the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party’s request to change the venue for their upcoming rally in Islamabad.

During the proceedings, the court notified the Chief Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, seeking their responses on the matter. The state counsel informed the court that the district administration had already granted PTI permission to hold a rally in Tarnol on 22nd August.

However, PTI’s lawyer Shoaib Shaheen argued that the party had initially requested to hold the rally on August 13 at F-9 Park or along the Kashmir Highway. He urged the court to allow the rally at one of these preferred locations instead of Tarnol for the August 22 event.

After hearing the arguments, the court adjourned the case until next week, allowing time for the district administration’s response and further deliberation on the matter.
