ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Babar Sattar presided over a case involving government housing allotment to Raziq Sanjrani, the brother of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

During the proceedings, the IHC summoned the Joint Secretary of Petroleum and the Joint Secretary of the Establishment Division, requiring them to produce complete records related to the case.

Raziq Sanjrani, accompanied by his legal counsel, appeared before the IHC for the hearing. The court raised a pertinent question regarding the payment of rent for the government-provided accommodation and sought clarification on this matter.

In response, Sanjrani’s counsel informed the court that Sendak Metals Company has been responsible for covering the accommodation rent since 2013. However, Justice Sattar pressed further, inquiring about the continuity of Raziq Sanjrani’s residency since 2013, given that the government had initially granted him residency for a period of three years.

Following these deliberations, the Islamabad High Court decided to adjourn the case, with the next hearing scheduled for September 26.
