SALMAN AKRAM RAJA LIKELY TO REPLACE OMAR AYUB
According to sources, Salman Akram Raja is likely to be appointed as the new Secretary General.
The decision is reportedly driven by a lack of consensus within the party under the leadership of Omar Ayub, who will continue to serve as the Opposition Leader in the Assembly.
Opposition Leader Omar Ayub and Senator Shibli Faraz will lead the parliamentary team.
A think tank will be formed under the leadership of Raoof Hasan who will oversee the issuance of a white paper on government performance and electoral matters.
Sources indicated that notifications of these decisions would be issued after a party rally.
Barrister Gohar, however, stated that he is unaware of any nomination of Salman Akram Raja as Secretary General.
He further clarified that the responsibility of the Additional Secretary-General is assumed after the nomination of a new Secretary General.
The process of appointing a new Secretary General involves panel-based elections, Barrister Gohar added.
