ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court in Rawalpindi has dismissed the acquittal request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in connection with the £190 million corruption case.

The hearing, held at Adiala Jail, was presided over by Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana, who delivered the verdict.

During the proceedings, the court directed the defence team to cross-examine the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation officer at the next session, scheduled for tomorrow.

The case centres on allegations of misappropriating £190 million, forming a crucial part of the ongoing investigations into the former premier.

Moreover, the bail plea of Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi remains unresolved and has been linked to the main case. Her application is also likely expected to be reviewed during this case.
