Asad Umar seeks exemption from attendance in ATC Lahore
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATC) in Lahore and Islamabad heard the cases related to violence and destruction, filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders.
ATC Lahore heard the case related to burning and encirclement, filed against PTI leader and former finance minister Asad Umar. The accused filed an application for exemption from attendance citing commitments in Islamabad pertaining to other cases.
He pled that the court should grant one-day exemption from attendance.
Meanwhile, the ATC Islamabad heard cases filed at Sangjani Police Station against PTI leaders Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, Fasial Amin and others. The court approved Ayub’s plea for exemption from attendance.
ATC Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain extended the interim bails of Zartaj Gul and Faisal Amin till December 5.
