Lawyers allowed to meet Imran Khan

Salman Akram Raja, Shoaib Shaheen and Faisal Chaudhry will meet Imran Khan at Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD: Instead of allowing the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in court, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has allowed lawyers to meet Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.

The IHC decision comes a day after contempt of court notices were issued and the Adiala Jail superintendent was summoned by the court.

As per the latest decision of the IHC, three counsels of the former premier’s legal team will be allowed to meet Imran Khan at 3 PM today. The initial IHC order was also intended to allow for the meeting between Imran Khan and his lawyers.

However, when that was deemed impossible by the court, the orders allowing lawyers to meet with him were issued. Imran Khan’s lawyers have been informed of this order of the IHC.

Faisal Chaudhry has confirmed the jail meeting with PTI founder at 3 PM. Salman Akram Raja, Shoaib Shaheen and Faisal Chaudhry will be allowed to meet Imran Khan today at Adiala Jail.
