Levies check post attacked in Qalat; one officer martyred, two injured

QALAT: A levies check post in Togho Chappar area was attacked by terrorists on Sunday morning, resulting in the martyrdom of one officer, and leaving two officers injured, the Levies said.

The injured personnel have been shifted to hospital, Levies spokesperson told media.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has issued a statement condemning the attack on Levies post. He paid tribute to martyred Levies official Ali Nawaz’s sacrifice. “Martyr Ali Nawaz set an example of bravery by sacrificing his life in the line of duty,” he said.

Balochistan CM also said prayers for the speedy recovery of injured levies personnel. He said that the courageous action and prompt response of Levies Force against terrorists is commendable. “The bravery and sacrifices of Levies Force personnel will not go in vain,” CM Bugti said, adding that the sacrifices of security forces for the protection of the people of Balochistan will always be remembered.
