Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza delivered the verdict, addressing the addition of their names by the federal government on June 28.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), challenged the inclusion of his name and others on the PCL, arguing that it was done illegally.
The petition highlighted that Elahi’s name was added to the Exit Control List (ECL) to prevent him from performing Umrah. The federal government opposed the petition.

Additionally, in a separate case involving alleged illegal recruitment in the Punjab Assembly, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi did not appear in court. His petition stated that he has been detained for a long time, is frail due to old age, and has been advised bed rest by his physician.
The petition requested a one-day exemption from court attendance, which is pending approval.
