Keep your advice to yourself, Marwat blasts Chaudhry

Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has hit back at former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, asserting that Chaudhry has no right to criticise the current party leadership.

Speaking to the media, Marwat recounted an incident outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) where he claimed to have seen Chaudhry fleeing from the police. “I witnessed Fawad Chaudhry running like an elephant after seeing the police outside the Islamabad High Court,” Marwat said.

Marwat added that Chaudhry’s actions brought shame to PTI, and hence, he should refrain from offering any advice.

Responding to Chaudhry’s recent remarks labelling the current PTI leadership as a “failure,” Marwat retorted that regardless of any shortcomings, the present leadership remained loyal to Imran Khan during difficult times, unlike Chaudhry.

Fawad Chaudhry had criticised the PTI leadership, blaming their lack of political strategy for the party’s struggles and asserting that there was “no chance” of Imran Khan’s release under the current leadership.

In response to Chaudhry’s criticism, the PTI core committee unanimously approved a resolution stating that defectors who abandoned the party during challenging times would not be welcomed back.
