Maulana is leading the fight for constitutional protection: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has hailed Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman as a key figure in the battle for the protection of the Constitution. Speaking on the current political climate, Chaudhry emphasised the Maulana’s significant role in guiding the opposition and the country through a critical period.

“If someone is fighting for the protection of the Constitution, it is Maulana Fazlur Rehman,” said Chaudhry. He said that there is an urgent need for the judiciary’s protection. “At this time, the protection of the courts is the most needed,” he added.

Chaudhry pointed out that Maulana has the full attention of the nation. He lauded the JUI-F leader’s efforts in uniting opposition forces, affirming, “Maulana is part of the grand opposition, leading the opposition parties.”

Chaudhry also mentioned that even Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is following the political strategy laid out by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
