Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed masterminds of May 9 attacks: Hanif Abbasi

WEB DESK: In a recent interview, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi made startling allegations, claiming that former PTI chairman Imran Khan and Sheikh Rasheed are the masterminds behind the May 9 attacks.

Abbasi went so far as to state that if these allegations are proven false, he is willing to quit politics.

According to Abbasi, Sheikh Rasheed had purportedly advised Imran Khan to organise a sit-in in Rawalpindi, leading to the events on May 9.

He firmly asserted that the mastermind behind the attacks on Hamza Camp and GHQ is Imran Khan, with Sheikh Rasheed and others involved.

Abbasi stressed the importance of holding the true orchestrators accountable, stating that punishing innocent individuals instead of the masterminds would be unjust.

He expressed concern that without proper repercussions for such actions, other groups might be encouraged to launch similar attacks.

As these allegations surface, it remains to be seen how the authorities will respond and whether any evidence will be presented to support or refute Hanif Abbasi’s claims.
